I don’t know about you, but after weeks of non stop home projects and work, a weekend getaway is the perfect refresh button, especially with your loved one. My husband and I love going away on quick weekend trips! I believe it is so important to get away from normal life for a few days to re connect and have some extra fun together!

Living in South Florida, we have many options for beach trips. One of our favorites, is Captiva Island. When planning a quick trip away, there is no better place to accommodate a romantic weekend than Tween Waters Resort & Spa.

Right along the coast of Captiva Island, lies this resort that has it all. Yummy food, an even better happy hour, two pools, a relaxing spa, cozy rooms, and a few steps to one of the prettiest beaches in Florida!

A weekend at Tween Waters Resort is everything a couple could want. We stayed in our perfectly located ocean front room complete with a jetted tub, comfy king, and a balcony to sip on our bottle of wine as we listened to the sound of the ocean at the end of the day.

 

 

There is so much to do to stay entertained on Captiva, but the best part about Tween Waters is that it’s all right there for you! Kayaking, paddle boarding, the marina, two different pools, hot tub, and the beach. It’s impossible to be bored! We enjoyed waking up and heading to breakfast at one of the best restaurants on the island, Crows Nest. In the evenings, they had live music too!

We loved hanging by the infinity pool for the day and enjoying our pina coladas. Everyday they have a happy hour too- half price on all drinks! The pool and the pool bar were beautiful and very well kept. We really enjoyed getting to know the staff at Tween Waters, the service and hospitality couldn’t be beat!

Tween Waters has the cutest little cottages fit for groups or families too. They had me wanting to return with a group of friends or family!

One of the best parts about Tween Waters is the location. Though the restaurants on property are wonderful, if you’re in Captiva you must go to the famous Bubble Room! Pictures don’t do this place justice for how fun it is! A restaurant that is decked out in Christmas decor, random collectables, the nicest staff, and the desserts are amazing! We were so glad to be so close to this place staying at Tween Waters!

Nothing screams romance like a good sunset, and Tween Waters hosted the best ones! We loved walking out our door to the beach to enjoy the perfect golden sky. The west coast of Florida has some incredible sunsets!
