Imagine a city with hundreds of years of history, the brightest tiled buildings and the kindest of people. A city that is starting to be on everyone’s radar! Lisbon is quickly rising in popularity, and word is spreading fast in the travel world through social media, for good reason!

Inspira is one of my favorite hotels I’ve had the pleasure of staying with, and here are just a few reasons why!

1. The Mission Behind It All

Inspira is a hotel with a greater purpose. Environmental sustainability and social responsibility are their top priorities. This shows not just in their words, but also in their actions. Inspira prioritizes using renewable resources. From the lighting options in the bedrooms to save on electricity, to the beautifully recycled wood that frames the lobby, the glass bottled water they provide, they are truly playing a part in sustainable living. They allow guests to buy their glass bottles to avoid using plastic ones. The best part is that part of the proceeds from these glass water bottles goes towards an organization they work with called Pump Aid. Pump Aid is an organization that is committed to making the availability of safe water for villages in countries like Malawi and more. I love that they make their mission known to their hotel guests. Raising awareness is just another big way that they are making an impact!

2. A Luxuriously Boutique Experience

If I’m being honest, two of my favorite words when it comes to hotels are “luxury” and “boutique”! Inspira offers this and beyond. There are 89 rooms at Inspira, and they are all filled with modern comfort like I haven’t seen before. My personal favorite part of our room was our beautiful bathtub! After a long day of exploring around Lisbon, we looked forward to returning back to Inspira. There are a few different options to choose from when picking your room. All of the rooms are beautiful, but I can confidently say it is worth upgrading to a suite if you can! One of them even has a jacuzzi!

The rooms offer different lighting options depending on your mood or preference. You can change the light settings throughout the room and this is also a part of being environmentally conscious!

3. The Facilities

From the moment you walk into Inspira, you won’t want to leave. From the grand lobby to even just the choices of furniture and colors, every detail screams elegance. The hotel bar even has a happy hour everyday, I can’t complain about that! In the bar area, they have the perfect setup to enjoy a cocktail. With a large T.V and a pool table, it is a great place to unwind!

We didn’t get the chance to use the spa, but there is a variety of treatment options and the rooms were incredible! Open to all hotel guests is a steam room, sauna, jacuzzi, and a workout facility. We used these everyday!

4. The Restaurant

You would think if you’re coming to Lisbon, I’d give you all these recommendations on places to eat (which I will, later!) But the restaurant in the hotel deserves to be talked about! We had the BEST breakfast in this cute spot and hotel guests can enjoy it every morning! The breakfast options were many. Fresh squeezed juices, numerous different types of breads and pastries, fresh cut fruit, eggs, pancakes, prosciutto, you name it and they had it! They are also open for dinner as well and we had some of our favorite pastries and port wine here!

5. The Staff

When people check into a hotel, we mostly all want the same thing. We want the staff to treat you with warmth, lend a helping hand, and offer their hospitality. At Inspira, they do it even better. They treat you like family. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make sure we felt at home. I don’t know what more I could have asked for! The guest services even helped us get tickets to the soccer game the next night and provided us some great recommendations.
