If you haven’t been to Riviera Maya yet, you’re missing out! From Cancun, to Playa Del Carmen, and down to Tulum, this part of the world is one of my favorites! When choosing hotels, you have so many options it can be a tough decision. From a family friendly all inclusive, an adult-only oasis, and then there is my personal favorite, boutique hotels.

A few steps away from the famous 5th Avenue, and a block away from the beach lies a charming condo hotel, Acanto. With a staff as accommodating as can be, a pool so inviting you’ll jump in right away, and rooms so comfy it’ll feel like home. Acanto is a charming escape!

The beauty of the location is found in the convenience. Steps away from Acanto are some of the best restaurants, shopping, and nightlife in Riviera Maya! We felt so privileged to not have to drive or take a taxi to a great dinner spot. Also within steps lies some of the most beautiful beaches and beach clubs! Acanto is partnered with Kool Beach Club, and I highly recommend taking advantage of that if you’re there! Kool Beach Club is right on the ocean and offers food, drinks, beach chairs, excellent service, massages, and a refreshing pool! For $20 USD pp, you can hang out at this place all day long. We found this completely worth it because included in that $20 was any food or drinks you wanted that equaled that amount! When you want to walk down to the beach, the hotel will provide beach towels and they even gave us some water to go!

Also included in your room rate at Acanto is a continental breakfast. Various choices of cereal, fruit, toast, yogurts, and juices can all be enjoyed in their cute courtyard. Their breakfast definitely fueled us every morning before a day of exploring!

The Villas

Besides the location, the breakfast, and just the CUTENESS of the hotel, the best part about our stay were the rooms. To stay in an adorable place that is comfortable, cozy, clean, and affordable is a real gem in my opinion! With comfy beds, marble floors and granite countertops, luxuriously soft robes, and sweet little balconies, we couldn’t have been happier! The staff had waters outside of our room every morning too, so thoughtful!

You have many options when you stay with Acanto between a 1, 2, or a 3 bedroom villa that is fully equipped with a full sized kitchen. You can see the room options here. If you go to the top floor, there is a rooftop with some amazing amenities! Depending on which villa you choose, you can walk right up to the rooftop with your own personal cabana. With lounge chairs and a whole set up to grill and enjoy the view, this was the perfect place for a group of friends to go hang out!

The best part about staying at Acanto was the value for your money. Instead of paying for a pricey all inclusive resort, we had the privacy and service of a luxury resort with an affordable price to match it! I love choosing boutique, and I hope you will too! 🙂
